Llegada a Acaya

English version.
I am sorry for those who are more to the north, but over here we are ready to say SPRING IS HERE!!. Therefore, after leaving the snails at school this morning Julio and I were ready to start our cycling promenades.
We started looking for the country road to
Acaya were we bought some local cheese, went for a coffee at Daniela's house while helping to catch Wolly (he is trying to explore the close by houses too) and run into our land lord, Antonio Fazziello, who is amateur historician, he is fond of Acaya and it's surroundings and who joing us to show us the jewell of the region, after Acaya ofcourse,
MASSERIA VISCIGLITO O GESUINIThe promenade was beautiful, lots of olives and green, stone buildings and fences, Julio says that tnere is something that Finish and Italians of this region had in common the way they both put together wood, the first ones, and stone the others.
Fire place

We arrived to the beautifull but abandoned complex with a wonderful past I want to talk of:
Chapel of the 1500
Building of the Jesuits (this is what was supposed to be in the begining)
The rest of the complex is of several buildings of many different epochs including a olive oil mill surprising because of the size.
Views from la Masseria

In many of the buildings there are still things that remember the latest economic explotation of the Masseria: tobacco, and the best: we were told there is a very old and big under earth frantoio, really better than the
frantoio of Vernole , he says that he will arrange a visit with the proper implements (boots and old cloths) later, I will keep you informed...
Next time over there I will post some pictures of the old old olive trees.
